25 | On February 14, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Garcia, conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with Site Supervisor (SS), Marisela Contreras and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. There are currently two (2) classrooms G3 and G4 in operation. This is an AM/PM half day program which operates mid-August – May. The morning session is 8:15 am to 11:15 AM and the afternoon session is 12:15 PM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
There is an active waiver in place dated August 23, 2010 pertaining to a shared outdoor activity space with another program.
Upon arrival LPA observed 40 children in total participating in a well-organized Valentines activity.
Assembly Bill 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 requires all Child Care Centers (CCCs) that are located in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010 to test their drinking water for lead contamination by January 1, 2023 and every 5 years thereafter. This facility has provided evidence of completed water testing for samples collected on December 6, 2022, with no action level exceedances noted.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
LPA confirmed furniture and equipment are in good serviceable condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The facility’s playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. LPA observed the food cart sent from the school cafeteria during PM lunch and observed that the food was protected against contamination during transport and when needed any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Today children were served strawberry milk, melon, cheese, corn chips and a cookie.
