25 | On September 5, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Garcia conducted an unannounced licensee-initiated case management inspection. LPA met with Director Eva Uibarri. A census was taken. LPA toured the facility inside and outside. The purpose for the inspection was to inspect and determine if classroom Pre-K (3) connected to licensed room Pre-K (4) meets standards to be used to care for enrolled preschool aged children. The need for the additional classroom is to split the current capacity of 36 children in half in order to provide care for the children in two separate areas rather than one.
If room Pre-K (3) is approved, the new space will provide an additional learning room for the children and so staff can split the group of the current capacity in half for a better learning experience.
STD 850 Fire Safety Inspection report was received and verified from the City of Lemoore Fire Inspector.
Both rooms were measured, and the square footage is 2,304 square feet. The square footage exceeds the requirement for 36 children.
LPA inspected classroom Pre-K (3) and observed age-appropriate equipment, furniture and toys for children who will be supervised from qualified staff. Each room meets or exceeds departments standards and is fully equipped with carbon monoxide detectors, fire alarms and fire extinguishers. There are a sufficient number of toilets and sinks for the children.
The facility director has provided LPA with an updated facility sketch to ensure the accuracy of the areas being used for the license.
Effective immediately classroom Pre-K (3) and Pre-K (4) may be used for the care and supervision of children. Continued on LIC909-C |
