25 | On 06/07/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ruby Ocegueda, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with Teacher Miguel Rodriguez who was substituting for Site Supervisor Angie Soto. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. This facility runs on a year-round schedule. LPA Ocegueda conducted a Covid-19 symptom screening today, provided identification, took a census and toured the facility.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. While inspecting the kitchen today, LPA observed about 3-4 knives in an accessible drawer. Also observed under the accessible sink cabinet were bleach, carpet spotter and two other unmarked liquids. There was a staff inside the kitchen, however the kitchen doors leading from room #1 and room #2 were not locked or had child safety mechanisms on the handles. LPA informed kitchen staff (staff #4) and Teacher Rodriguez of observations and both knives and disinfectants were observed to be made inaccessible. Teacher Rodriguez confirmed that the kitchen should not be accessible and would be discussing either keeping it locked or placing child safety cover on the door handles. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
