The school cafeteria will provide the Morning session with breakfast and lunch & Lunch and an afternoon snack for the PM Session. Patricia stated that a school staff will bring the food over to the classroom. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the small kitchen where food will be prepped and disbursed to children. The kitchen has a small half door that will be closed and locked to make it inaccessible to children in care. The cleaning items will be stored underneath the kitchen sink. Patricia stated that there are not knives or sharp utensils in the preschool classroom/kitchen. The first Aid kit along with the medication box is stored in a high cabinet inside the kitchen. LPA observed the staff bathroom to be inside the classroom which will remain closed and locked so children don't have access to it. Ill children will be isolated in the site supervisors office which is part of the preschool classroom and will use the staff bathroom when ill.

The classroom was observed to be clean and free of toxins. The program only offers half day sessions so there will be no napping available. LPA observed that the furniture and equipment appeared to be safe and in good condition. LPA also reminded Patricia to not store anything on top of the children's cubbies or book cases that could potentially fall on them. Patricia understood. Chad stated that there is a working carbon monoxide installed in the classroom that is part of the thermostat. Patricia stated that she will have a sanitation table outside the classroom where staff will do wellness checks every morning during pickup/drop off and take the children's and staffs temperatures every day. Masks will be provided to children in case children forget to bring their own.

Toys and equipment appeared to be age appropriate. There are a total of 2 toilets and 2 sinks which will accommodate the requested capacity of 24 preschool children. There is a water dispenser in the classroom so children can have water readily available to them at all times. Patricia stated that she will order a cup dispenser and disposable cups for children. A water jug will be used to drink water outside.

The approximate outside square footage for the preschool area is 8,277 which will accommodate the requested capacity of 24 Preschool Children. The preschool play area is gated and has mature trees that provide shade along with a shade structure located on the West of the classroom. There is a play structure but Patricia stated that they are getting a newer play structure later in the year. LPA reminded applicant to provide the specifications and notify licensing before/after completing the installation. Patricia stated that the other classroom is occupied by Transitional Kindergarteners (TK). She stated that they will not use the outside play area since they have their own. LPA reminded Patricia to provide adequate supervision of children at all times and to not commingle preschool with school age children.

A fire clearance for 24 preschool children was received and granted by the Kings County Fire Department on 8/31/2021.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS.
