| Room measurements were taken and reviewed with Patricia. The total inside preschool area measured to an approximate 920 square feet which will meet the requested capacity. There is enough cubby spaces for 24 children and there are plenty of tables and chairs. Patricia understands that children's equipment need to match the capacity they are requesting.
Toys and equipment appeared to be age appropriate. There are a total of 2 toilets and 2 sinks which will accommodate the requested capacity of 24 preschool children. There is a water dispenser in the classroom so children can have water readily available to them at all times. Patricia stated that she will order a cup dispenser and disposable cups for children. A water jug will be used to drink water outside.
The approximate outside square footage for the preschool area is 8,277 which will accommodate the requested capacity of 24 Preschool Children. The preschool play area is gated and has mature trees that provide shade along with a shade structure located on the West of the classroom. There is a play structure but Patricia stated that they are getting a newer play structure later in the year. LPA reminded applicant to provide the specifications and notify licensing before/after completing the installation. Patricia stated that the other classroom is occupied by Transitional Kindergarteners (TK). She stated that they will not use the outside play area since they have their own. LPA reminded Patricia to provide adequate supervision of children at all times and to not commingle preschool with school age children.
A fire clearance for 24 preschool children was received and granted by the Kings County Fire Department on 8/31/2021.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS.
