25 | On 1/9/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her husband and four day care children who were playing in the day care room. Licensee and her husband reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 6/8/2026. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 10/22/2024.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 11/7/2024. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s day care room on the right wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two high two play yards and an infant swing. There is a parent’s board that is located on the kitchen wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the day care room wall. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
- There is an in-ground pool that is fenced with black wrought iron fencing in accordance with Title 22 Regulations.
