25 | On September 28, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Licensee, Alma Wences and six day care children who were playing in the front fenced yard on a wooden play structure. Licensee, her husband, two adult sons and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on June 22, 2024. Licensee’s Assistant, Margarita Castillo has not completed the training, licensee states that the assistant will not be left alone to provide care and supervision to the day care children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on August 3, 2022.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on August 3, 2022. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed three high chairs and a diaper changing table. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
