32 | The approximate outside square footage for the infant area is 14522 which will accommodate requested capacity of 43 Infant Children. LPA observed age appropriate toys and play equipment. Shade is provided by a covered patio as well as trees. LPAs observed gopher holes, cement patches that are not safe for infants, bolts that needed to be shaved and/or capped, and warped fencing. LPA reminded Director to provide adequate supervision at all times.
A fire clearance for 69 preschool children was approved and granted by the City of Handford Fire Department on 11/29/2023. The clearance was received by the Fresno Regional Office on 11/30/2023. Due to fire clearance request not addressing infant children as well as Licensee is requesting a new capacity of 28 preschool children, a new fire inspection has been requested.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Applicant was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
