25 | On January 22, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Garcia conducted an unannounced licensee-initiated case management inspection. LPA met with licensee Blanca Jimenez. A census was taken, and LPA toured the facility inside and out. The purpose for the inspection was to collect additional information (photos) to determine if a newly constructed garage is suitable for the care and supervision of children in her care. LPA observed a fully enclosed garage with walls, three exits, one being a sliding glass door. Also observed was heating and cooling capabilities via split system air conditioning unit capable of heating and cooling. LPA observed new clean laminate floors with a ceiling fan to provide additional cooling if needed. LPA observed a tankless hot water heater however it has been made inaccessible to children as it is completely contained and locked and posses no danger to children. LPA also observed adequate lighting in the garage area. At this time further communication will be needed with the city building inspector to determine safety of the newly constructed area. The garage will remain off limits until LPA determines if the area is deemed safe for the children in care and after a fire inspection and a possible building inspection.
Per Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiencies are observed today.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
