25 | On 7/2/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and five day care children who were in the living room watching television. Licensee, her husband and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 4/27/25. Licensee’s Assistant, Natasha Rivera completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 4/27/26. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 6/20/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 6/20/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair and a diaper changing table. There is a parent’s board that is located in the kitchen wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, or ammunition in the home. Poisons are stored inside a key lock storage box that is located in the garage.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
