25 | On 9/12/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and her husband. Licensee, her husband and two minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 4/27/26. Licensee states her minor child who meets the age requirements to be an assistant will be her assisting her with the care and supervision of children. Licensee understands that her minor assistant cannot be left alone to provide care and supervision to the day care children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 8/21/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 8/22/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed in the day care room, children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed four high chairs and three play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located in the day care room wall.
- Firearms are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Licensee states there is no ammunition or poisons in the home or premises.
