25 | On 11/14/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and three day care children. Licensee is the only person who resides in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association and expires on 3/16/25. Licensee’s Assistant, Anahi Linan completed the training through American Heart Association and expires on 2/12/25. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 10/22/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 10/22/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed four high chairs and three play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the front wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept under key lock in the detached garage.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the day care room closet wall. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
