25 | On 3/21/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and four day care children who were playing in the day care room. Licensee, her husband, her adult son, her adult daughter, and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 3/16/2026. Licensee does not have a qualified assistant. Licensee is advised she must have a qualified assistant when she operates her family child care home as a large capacity. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 3/7/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 3/7/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the kitchen wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two booster feeding chairs, a diaper changing table and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left wall of the home’s entry way.
- Firearms are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations and ammunition is stored separate in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Licensee states there are no poisons in the home or premises.
- LPA did not observe bodies of water in the home or premises.
