25 | On 2/3/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and six day care children. Licensee, her husband and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee and Licensee’s Assistant, Francisco Hernandez CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 6/10/2025. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 1/28/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/28/2025. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two highchairs in the kitchen, a crib and one play yard in the day care room. There is a parent’s board that is located on the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, or ammunition. Poisons are stored in the garage but not under key lock.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher that is stored inside the cabinet that is located underneath the kitchen sink that is made inaccessible by the use of a sliding cabinet child proof latch. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
