25 | On 3/7/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s assistant, and two day care children who were napping in the living room (day care room). Licensee and her grandma are the only persons who reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association and expires on 2/3/2027. Licensee’s Assistant, Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 2/21/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 2/21/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s hallway wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed four high chairs and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the front wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are stored inside a key locked storage bin that is located in the inaccessible garage.
- LPA did not observe bodies of water in the home or premises.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted on the right wall of the home’s entry way. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
