25 | On 3/7/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was license who did not have any children in care today. Licensee, her boyfriend and three minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 11/8/2026. Licensee’s Assistant, Eddie Ramos completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/15/2025. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 1/6/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/6/2025. Fire pull alarm is located in the home’s converted garage/ room. Applicant states she has obtained a city permit to convert garage into a room and is pending final inspection from city inspector. Applicant provided LPA with copy of city permit. Applicant is advised she does use the converted room for child care. Applicant must contact her Licensing Program Analyst when she obtains final inspection card signature from city inspector.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed a booster feeding chair and two play yards. There is a flat screen television and a parent’s board that is mounted on the day care room wall.
