25 | On 912/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Amberly Barragan for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult daughter and one minor child reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 8/7/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 8/13/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and one bathroom home and children will have access to the living room (day car room), dining room, kitchen, bedroom #3 and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof door knob covers.
- There is an electric fireplace in the living room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room, a sectional, a flat screen television on top of a cabinet and books for the children. Children will nap in the living room on cots and infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 1A10BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the dining room wall. Applicant must have a fire extinguisher size 2A10BC or bigger. There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
