25 | On 3/20/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Danyuell Hicks for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant and five minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 1/17/2025.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/21/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the kitchen wall.
- This is a two story, five home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. Care and supervision will be provided in living room, downstairs bedroom #1 (day care room), kitchen/ dining area and downstairs bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof door knob covers and child proof safety gates.
- There is a fireplace in the living room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room, a day bed with a trundle and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. There are children's cubbies and safe toys. LPA advised applicant the parents board must be readily available for parents to view. Children will nap in day care room on cots and on a day bed with a trundle. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
