On June 7 2024 at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aaliyah Zendejas conducted an unannounced required 3 year inspection. LPA met with program director, Katherine Oberman (S1) and announced the purpose of the inspection. S1 provided LPA with a tour of the interior and exterior of the facility. At the time of inspection there were 13 children under the care and supervision of 2 staff members. There are 2 rooms that are used for care. LPA checked carbon monoxide alarm at 1:15 PM and was found to be in working condition. There are 2 carbon monoxide detectors in total, one per room.

LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the walls before entering facility. Last fire drill was conducted on May 13, 2024. The classroom had age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA observed children's restrooms in a building directly next to the center classrooms. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. A First Aid cupboard was locked with medication for children in need of IMS services as well as an extra snack bag for the child, and an additional first aide bag in the other room of the center. Facility provides a snack for the children in care. The outdoor yard is behind the building and has shade for children in care and has an ample amount of space for children to play.

A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA reviewed 5 children's files and observed children's files to be complete and current. LPA observed staff files to be complete and current. Staff present has current CPR with an expiration date of 8/19/2023. All Staff present have current mandated reporter training certification. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements for all staff.
