32 | Food Preparation Area: LPA observed the food preparation area for safety, sanitation, and good repair. Food preparation area consists of refrigerator/freezer, sink, counter, and pantry. Per Site Supervisor, there are no knives and sharp items in the classroom. The facility provides afternoon snack. Menus are provided.
Outdoor/Children’s Play Area: The children utilize the concrete area for outdoor play. Children are provided with balls and other play equipment. The children also use the play structure maintained by the elementary school. Per Site Supervisor, play area is shared with other YMCA programs. The play times are staggered and there is no co-mingling. There are no pools, spas, or bodies of water on the premises.
File Review: LPA reviewed two children files which included all required information. LPA reviewed Site Supervisor’s file and two staff files. Site Supervisor CPR/FA expires on 09/2027 and Mandated Reporter training expires on 12/2026.
Postings: LPA observed required postings as follows: Facility License, Personal Rights (LIC613A), Parent’s Rights Poster, Passenger Car Seat Law (PUB 269), and Emergency Disaster Plan.
Other: Per Site Supervisor, smoking is prohibited on the premises. Per Site Supervisor, there are no firearms/weapons stored on premises. Last disaster drills completed on 10/2025. The facility provides filtered water with disposable cups. The children bring personal water bottles which are refilled with filtered water.

Site Supervisor was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
