Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with head teacher Araceli Gutierrez who was present with 7 children and 1 assistant. This preschool program currently consists of 1 classroom. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30AM-12:30PM.

LPA toured the areas used by the facility. The facility consists of 2 classrooms with a shared restroom in between, a kitchenette with adult restroom, director's office, and playground adjacent to the classrooms. Currently only 1 classroom is being used per head teacher. Each classroom was inspected. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children have their own cubby and hook to store their belongings. The children’s restroom was observed to be clean and in good condition, with sufficient supplies for children to use.

Currently the Kitchen is not being used. Children bring their own snacks and lunch to the facility. Napping equipment was observed in the kitchen. However, the children currently do not nap at the facility due to the hours.

LPA inspected the children’s outdoor playground. The playground was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. LPA observed there to be shade and adequate fencing. Drinking water is available in form of children's personal water bottles that are brought out during outdoor activity time.

During the inspection LPA Lee advised the facility to continue to comply with the latest guidelines from the CA department of public health for licensed child care centers.
