On 05/10/2022 at 11:20AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Denise Miranda conducted an unannounced follow-up case management inspection at Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church Nursery School located at 505 North Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 for the purpose of following up on the self-reported unusual incident that was reported on 04/20/2022.
LPA met with Director Caridad Greco and informed the purpose of the visit.
There are 68 children present with 15 teachers, Director and Director Assistant.
According to the incident report, on 04/18/2022, child#1 was playing on the playground and Teacher#1 noticed that child’#1 had a cut on eye brown area. Teacher#1 cleaned the child's injury, applied pressure and ice packs was applied. Director contacted child’s parents that took to the emergency room for dissolvable stiches. Child returned to school on 4/20/2022. Per Director, Child#1 did not have any restrictions to return to school.
LPA observed that the playground surface is maintained and in safe condition, with sufficient cushioning underneath to absorb a fall. All other playground equipment appears to be safe, in good repair and there are ample age appropriate toys, children’s apparatus age recommendation is from 2 years old to 5 years old and staff ratio was in compliance when the incident happened.
Director agreed, to contact the playground company and request a label of age appropriate, due the labels in place were almost deteriorate.

Based on interviews with staff and children and LPA’s observations, LPA Miranda finds that there was appropriate supervision, the apparatus was age appropriate and it does not appear that the incident was a result of Title 22 violation.
There are no deficiencies cited during today's inspection. A copy of this report and notice of site visit was provided to Director Caridad Grecco.
