32 | LPA Clayton reviewed infant sleep logs and infant needs and service plans.
All hand washing facilities and toilets are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Water temperature, toilet paper, paper towels, safety and sanitation were inspected. Floors in the facility are clean and safe.
All meals are provided by the parents/authorized representative. The food storage area is free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair.
LPA Clayton observed a fully charged 2A10B:C Fire Extinguisher, and a working Carbon Monoxide/Smoke Detector Combo in the classroom.
LPA Clayton reviewed 5 infants files and observed the files to be in compliance including but not limited to Individual sleep plans, current contact information of parents and authorized representatives, and authorization for medical treatment, signed Parent’s Rights and signed Personal Rights receipts. LPA Clayton reminded office manager to review and update children immunization records yearly.
LPA Clayton reviewed 5 employee files which were found to be in compliance with immunization for childcare providers and CPR/First Aid as required for opening and closing staff, Mandated Reporter training certificates.
Teacher Sharine was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
