25 | On January 30, 2026, at approximately 12:50 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Janet Gil, conducted a case management inspection and met with the principle, Tina Valdez. The purpose of the inspection was explained to the principle. Present during today’s visit included 24 staff members (including the principle) and 87 preschool children. The facility is operating within its capacity limits and in accordance with the required ratio of staff to children. All adults present working in the facility have criminal record clearance.
This case management inspection was related to the Unusual Incident Report (UIR) submitted on January 20, 2026. LPA discussed the nature of the incident during the inspection. The incident occurred on January 20, 2026, when a a water leak was observed in Room 2. Per principal, over the prior weekend a water fountain located against the Room 2 wall was leaking and caused the carpet area became wet inside the classroom. Per principle, there is no hole in the wall and leakage occurred inside the wall. Per principle, since the incident, facility used a vacuum to remove water from Room 2, fans were placed near the wet carpet to dry the area, and the school district's plumbing department has shut off the water fountain causing leakage. LPA observed water fountain to be shut off and not working. LPA observed a dry carpet in Room 2. Per principle there is a separate working water fountain in working conditions in outdoor play area. LPA observed all classrooms to have water fountains in working condition. Per principle, there has been no more incidents with the water fountain since, and facility is in contact with the school district's plumbing department about fixing the water fountain outside of Room 2.
LPA inspected the facility indoors and outdoors for health and safety hazards.
No deficiencies were cited today under CCR, Title 22, Div. 12, Chapt. 1.

A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the principle, Tina Valdez.
