32 | The Principal reported that staff regularly receive training on how to redirect children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
Children interviewed stated they enjoy coming to school. None of the children interviewed reported witnessing staff handling children roughly or making inappropriate comments or gestures.
Staff interviews revealed that some staff expressed general concerns regarding staff–child interactions, however, staff stated they have not observed any staff handling children inappropriately and staff also stated they receive ongoing training on how to appropriately redirect children. Staff interviewed stated they have not personally observed other staff handle children in a rough manner, make inappropriate comments or gestures toward children in care.
LPAs conducted observations in four classrooms. During the observations, LPAs did not observe any children being mistreated.
LPA attempted to interview parents, LPA was not able to interview any parents regarding the above-mentioned allegations.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
