On 3/29/2022 Licensing Program (LPA) Dalicia Adkins conducted an unannounced case management- Covid 19 follow up visit. LPA met with Director Sheila Hardy, LPA informed principal about the purpose of the visit, LPA was guided on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 46 children napping , 6 teachers and 11 teacher aides.

LPA observed Covid signage posted near the front door entry. Check in station located next to the front door entrance had mask, clean pens and hand sanitizer available. LPA Adkins observed facility to be at comfortable room temperature with adequate ventilation.

Parents utilizes pro care communication blackboard connect, class Dojo, zoom and verbal communication.

LPA Adkins discussed the following with Principal: hand washing routines, sanitation practices, placement of classroom furniture, health screening checks and new mask mandate.

Meals are provided by LAUSD food program. Children bring water bottles, facility also provided water and is ready available.

Isolation area located outside located north end campus. Tent with easy up panel for privacy. Child will be supervised in isolation area until he/she is picked up.

LPA Adkins observed children and staff bathrooms to be stocked with hand washing soap, paper towel, toilet paper and non-touch trashcans. LPA observed hand washing posting in children restroom posted at eye level. LPA observed servicing restroom log posted on bathroom door.

Social distancing practices put in place during the pandemic are encouraged to continue to use an additional tool for infection control and to help reduce the spread of Covid 19.

The use of visual aids put in place to help children maintain social distancing. LPA observed containers labeled to store children mask. Individual toy/learning supplies container are assigned to each child. Individual storage provided for personal belonging. LPA observed cots for napping, cots are placed at least six feet apart or and head to feet orientation. Cots labeled with children names, linen are stored in individual labeled bags. Per principal children linen are washed at least once per week.

Director reported children/staff were cleared to return back school and has resumed back to their normal activities. Although centers are not required to wear mask, CCLD are highly recommending that centers continue to implement mask wearing for children and staff. Children younger than two (2) years of age and infants must never wear a face mask. Children do not wear mask while sleeping, eating or during water activities.

LPA Adkins provided technical assistance and exit interview conducted.
