25 | On August 29,2024, at 11:40am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) A. Carter and T. Tran conducted an unannounced Required Annual inspection and met with Facility representative (FR), Lisa Salazar. LPAs disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility.
LPAs was taken on a guided tour of both the indoors and outdoors of the facility. Teacher-child ratios were observed, and staff names recorded. All center staff that were present during today’s inspection had fingerprint clearance and are associated to the designated license number. Care and supervision were evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate.
On this premises, facility also obtain a school-age license (192004094) FR stated, school-age program is currently not operating at this time. The hours of operation are 6:00am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 41. At the initial start of the site visit, there is a total census of 8 children and a total census of 4 teachers present. The facility is made up of 2 classrooms 4 children and 2 staff in each class present at time of inspection. LPAs observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board and the following documents were observed: LIC 203A-License, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A- Personal Rights, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Menus, and Activity Schedule.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Children napping equipment met the requirement regulation at time of inspection. Storage for children's belongings, bathrooms facilities, and isolation areas were inspected. Age-appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, safety, and sanitation. LPAs observed cubbies with puzzles, books, and other appropriate toys to be clean and free of hazards at time of inspection. LPAs observed carpets and age-appropriate tables and chairs in each classroom. LPAs observed first aid kept on the wall in each classroom.
Facility provides snacks. Children bring their own lunch and its stored in individual cubbies by their classroom. Snack items are properly stored. Food preparation area was toured and found in compliance for safety, cleanliness, and proper storage. Drinking water is provided via filter water line. LPAs confirmed Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were present and determined to be in operable condition.
