25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 04/07/26 at 12:24 p.m. At 12:33 p.m., LPA met with Julia Botello licensee and licensee's assistant Brenda Ruedas guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 0 children present in the home. Also present were the licensee’s children. According to the licensee, 03 children are enrolled; however, children were absent. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 06:00 a.m. – 05:00 p.m. LPA conducted the inspection in Spanish.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, front yard, back yard (fenced), and detached garage. Upon arrival, LPA observed an empty water fountain in the front yard which is off-limits and is full of rocks. According to the licensee, children use the living room, 1 bathroom, and backyard. Family members residing in the home are 5 adults and 0 minors. According to the licensee, there are no pets on the premises.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the living room where LPA observed 1 play pen, age-appropriate toys, materials, and equipment for children. Tour continued to the children’s bathroom which is located in the hallway. LPA observed that the children’s bathroom is safe and in sanitary conditions. According to the licensee, the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are off-limits to children. The first aid kit was observed to be available.
At 12:40 p.m., smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed to be operable. The valve on the required 3A40BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced 03/18/26, per the attached service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually.
