25 | On 9/27/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Loyce Phillips conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection with Licensee, Maria Poladian. This inspection is due to an application received for a relocation of a small family childcare license. Present during today visit was Licensee mother. Licensee guided LPA on a tour of the facility and intends to operate Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Licensee intends to provide breakfast, lunch and am/pm snacks to children.
Licensee does not have child-care insurance. The areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with living room, kitchen and laundry area.
Licensee's home shares the same property as the front home with a different address. Licensee resides in the back house with her mother. The front house will not have access to the Licensee's home and yard area which is separated by a wooden fence. Parents will enter the front gate and walk to the left side of the driveway to enter the facility.
Areas that are accessible to children are as follows: Living room, kitchen, bathroom #1, front yard and right side play yard. The off-limits areas are as follows: Bedroom #1, #2, bathroom #2 located inside bedroom #2. The laundry area, backyard and left side yard and front house is also off limits. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medication and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. LPA observed age appropriate safe toys inside and outside. Licensee advised; children will nap on mats. Licensee has a smoke detector and carbon monoxide that was tested and operating. LPA observed Fire Extinguisher. Medications and knives are stored in upper kitchen inaccessible to children. Cleaning products are kept under the sink inaccessible to children.
