The children use bedroom #1 and bedroom #2 for sleeping. LPA observed that there are beds and pack n’ plays available for children.
The children use bathroom #1 located in the hallway near bedroom #1 and bedroom #2. The vanity cabinet holds hand soap and paper products, and no hazards were observed. LPA observed that the bathroom that children use was safe and sanitary.
Per Licensee, when a child shows signs of illness they will be separated from other children and isolated in bedroom #1 away from other children.
The kitchen is made inaccessible with the use of child proof locks on the cabinets. The Licensee provides food for children in care. Licensee stated when food is brought to the facility it is labeled with child’s name and stored properly. There is telephone service via a cellphone that stays at the facility during the hours of operation.
Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include bedroom #3, bathroom #2, laundry nook, kitchen, and back yard and are made inaccessible by use of child proof door knobs, latches, and door locks.
Per Licensee, there are no firearms, ammunition, or poisons on the premises. LPA did not observe any firearms, ammunition, or poisons during the inspection. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
Per Licensee, there are no pets on the premises. LPA did not observe any pets on the premises.
LPA did not observe any pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water during the inspection.
LPA did observe a fireplace and is made inaccessible to children with the use of a metal gate and a cabinet secured to the wall in front of the fireplace. LPA did not observe any open face heaters during the inspection.
