32 | Per Licensee, areas that are accessible to children include; living room, bathroom #2, and bedroom #1. Per Licensee children eat in the living room. Living room has a fireplace, which has been screened to prevent access by children. There is a balcony that is located in the living room, and bedroom #1 that is locked during the hours of operation. LPA observed cots, as well as play yard visible in bedroom #1. Napping equipment does not block entrances or exits. Infant mattresses were observed to be firm with tightly fitted sheets. LPA did not observe loose object, bumpers, objects hanging, or objects attached to the cribs/play yards.
Apartment complex does have a swimming pool. Swimming pool is located downstairs and on the opposite side of the unit. The fence is at least 5 feet high with a self-latching gate that opens away from the pool or body of water. LPA observed a security chain, located at the top of the gate. Per Licensee, tenants do not have access to the pool. Licensee informed LPA Morales that only management has a key to the pool. When asked why only management has access to the pool, Licensee informed LPA that previously tenets were leaving their children unattended. Per Licensee, management revoked access, and the gate remains locked 24/7.
Per Licensee, when children are having outside time, they will ensure 100% supervision and never leave children unattended. Per Licensee there are no weapons in the facility.
There are cameras outside the facility, and inside the facility located in the living room.
LPA observed the following: the home is clean and orderly. Shelves have been secured to the walls. There were age-appropriate toys and play items. Licensee was informed that baby-walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and other prohibited items will not be used for children in care. All electrical outlets have safety covers. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. The Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The Licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock. LPA Morales did not observe a pet at the time of visit. Per Licensee, isolation area for sick children is in bedroom #1.
The carbon monoxide detector was observed in the living room, was tested and found to be operable. There were three smoke detectors located in the living room, hallway and in bedroom #1, tested and found to be operable. The required (2A10BC) fire extinguisher was mounted and located next to the kitchen. The fire extinguisher were purchased on 6/2025. The disaster/fire drill was done on 6/9/2025.
