13 | On May 2, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Aaliyah Zendejas and Veronica Diaz conducted an unannounced visit to deliver the findings of the above mentioned allegations. LPA met with director / owner Tressa Mendoza and advised her of the purpose of the inspection. Together with the director, LPAs toured the interior and exterior of the facility. At the time of the inspection, there were 6 children in care with 2 teachers.
CCLD received a complaint regarding the abovementioned allegations. LPAs made 2 unannounced visits to this facility during the complaint investigations and reviewed documents on both occasions.LPAs found the facility in ratio and no evidence to corroborate the allegation mentioned.LPAs during visitation did not view any obstructions on the staircase. Staff stated that they check diapers every 30 minutes and LPA observed staff checking during the inspection. Staff and parent interviews reflected multiple qualified staff caring for children, and no evidence of children being left in soiled diapers for long periods.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with Director Tressa Mendoza. |
