25 | On February 28, 2025, @ 9:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Devon Carus, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and was met by licensee, Olga Sandoval. Currently, the above daycare has 13 children enrolled. LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. At the time of the visit, there were 9 children present. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen is off limits and made inaccessible via child safety locks. This Two-story home was inspected as follows: Day care play room/den, one bathroom, and outdoor play areas. All poisons are kept under the kitchen sink which is inaccessible to children in care. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. Medication is kept in a first aid kit in the restroom out of reach of children. There is a working fire extinguisher (3A-40BC), smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA confirmed the available cell phone number is 3105341945. The indoor play area is in the day care play room/den, and outdoor play areas. The children reside here while in care. There are locked doors and safety gates keeping the children in the day care area. There are cots, and cribs for day care children to sleep or rest on. The Daycare is open from 5:00am-11:00pm Mo-Fri. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. LPA observed no bodies of water on the premises. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 1/11/2027. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis, measles, and Tuberculosis.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home.
