On 01/21/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dawn Dowling conducted a complaint visit regarding the above mentioned allegations to deliver the findings. Upon arrival, LPA met with Sheneva Canady, Teacher, who telephoned Administrator Audry L. Reems. LPA spoke with Administrator over the phone and explained the purpose of the inspection. Administrator informed LPA she was enroute to the facility. LPA was taken to nearby classroom to set up. LPA observed 25 children in care with 2 staff. 23 children were asleep on their mats and 2 were at table eating and watching program on an ipad in classroom. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 PM.

On 11/05/2025 EL Segundo North Regional Office (ESNRO) received a complaint, this complaint is from an anonymous source, which states staff threatened child in care, staff inappropriately handled child in care and staff yelled at child in care.

On 11/10/2025, LPA Dowling conducted the initial complaint visit. LPA Dowling conducted interviews with Administrator Audry L. Reems , staff and children .LPA collected a copy of the children's roster and a copy of the Crenshaw Montessori Academy Policies and Procedure.

LPA interviewed, Administrator, staff and children , there were no disclosures made regarding the allegations listed.

According to Parents interviewed during the course of the investigation they had no concerns regarding the quality of care their children are receiving. Parents stated they have had a good experience with the provider and their children are happy and like the day care.

LPA observed children happy, playing and engaging with staff during lessons. Children did not seem fearful of Licensee or staff. LPA observed staff using appropriate communication with children, LPA did not observe staff yelling at any time during LPA's visits to facility.

Therefore, based upon observations and interviews conducted the allegations above have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. The allegation may have happened or is valid, but there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred.



A copy of this report, notice of site visit and appeal rights were provided. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213)- must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
