On May 31, 2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Monique Ayala and Barabra Beneroso condcuted an unannounced complaint investigation for the above allegation. LPAs was greeted by Director, who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility and gathered the census of children present. There were 49 with 7 staff.

The investigation consisted of interviews conducted with staff and other relevant complaint parties. The interviews revealed that there was no corroberation that the facility has rodents outside near the garbage bins. LPAs toured the facility and did not observe any rodents outside of the facility. Interviews with staff revealed that the facility has a pest control team the comes to the facilty once a month. Based on LPA’s observations and evidence obtained during interviews conducted including record review, the preponderance of evidence standard was not met; therefore, the above allegation is found to be unsubstantiated.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to Director along with appeal rights and notice of site visit.
