32 | During today’s visit, LPA addressed the allegations per Reporting Party that staff are not properly reporting incidents involving the daycare children, staff do not ensure the daycare children have access to water, and that staff are operating out of ratio.
The allegations that staff are not properly reporting incidents involving the daycare children, staff do not ensure the daycare children have access to water, and that staff are operating out of ratio have been found to be unsubstantiated.
Per Director, they disclosed that parents are provided updates on the child throughout the day through the KinderCare App, phone calls, or in person. Parents provide water containers for their children, extra water containers are available if needed, and teachers uses water pitchers to refill the child’s water container. Staff to children ratio is maintained by having staff start shifts early, having staff end shifts later, moving children to other classrooms, moving staff to classrooms, or by having the Assistant Director or Director in the classroom.
When interviewing staff, they disclosed that parents are provided updates on the child throughout the day through the KinderCare App, daily parents bring water containers (sippy cups/bottles) from home and teachers use water pitchers to refill water containers, and teacher to children ratio are maintained when children are moved to other classrooms or additional staff are brought into the classroom.
When interviewing parents, they disclosed that teachers provided updates on their children throughout the day through the KinderCare App, parents provided water containers (sippy cups/bottles) from home and teachers will refill the water containers as needed, and parents did not make any disclosures regarding the number of staff to children ratio.
Children interviewed did not make any disclosures regarding the allegations.
