32 | The facility is equipped with a working smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detector. LPA observed five fire extinguishers (3A40BC) located throughout the facility with service date of 05/30/2023. First Aid Kit was observed to be complete. Fire Drill log was observed to be complete and current. .
The facility has sufficient cots for napping. Each cot is occupied by only one child at time. LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete. CPR, Pediatric First Aid (completed on 9/10/2023), and Mandated Reporter Training certificates ( Director completed on 09/20/2022) were observed to be current. The name of the child care center director or fully qualified teacher designated to act in the director’s absence has been reported to the Department. LPA reviewed a sample of staff files and observed files were complete.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
