On 11/20/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced follow up complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering the findings for the above-mentioned allegation. Upon arrival, LPA was greeted and let into the facility by Facility Representative, Magali Zuniga to whom the reason for the inspection was announced. LPA toured the facility and observed 10 daycare children and 2 staff.

During the course of the investigation, LPA Ornelas made observations, obtained documentation in the form of children’s roster and conducted interviews with reporting party, staff, children and parents in regard to the above allegation.

-Pertaining to the allegation that – Staff speaks inappropriately in the presence of day care children.
According to the RP, Staff member became aggressive, yelled and made innapropriate comments in front of day care children.

According to staff interviewed during the course of the investigation, they have never observed any staff member yell, raise their voice or speak inappropriately in front of day care children. Staff stated they have never yelled, spoken inappropriately or raised their voice at any other staff member. Staff further stated that they have never observed the staff mentioned in the complaint allegation yell at any other staff.

According to children interviewed during the course of the investigation, they have never observed any staff member yell or say mean things to one another. Children stated that they have never observed the staff mentioned in the complaint allegation yell or say mean things. Children further stated that they like their teachers and are happy at the day care.

According to Parents interviewed during the course of the investigation, they have never observed teachers speak inappropriately while they have been present at the day care.

Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
