25 | On 12/07/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton and LPA Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced Required Inspection for the Child Care Center. LPA Clayton and LPA Richmond met with Director Cecilia Carrillo. LPAs toured the facility indoors and outdoors and observed 35 children in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by 5 fingerprint cleared staff members. Facility hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. CCC provides snacks and water.
Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained.
All children are under visual supervision of a teacher at all times. The CCC is in compliance with Title 22 regulations regarding Staff to Student ratios. Parents use the Curacubby app to sign the child in/out of the facility. LPA Clayton and LPA Richmond reviewed a printed copy of the app and observed the date, time and full name of the parent/authorized representative checking the child in and out.
There are no swimming pools, ponds, or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked cabinet area.
LPA Clayton observed a fully charged fire extinguisher and working carbon monoxide detector in each of the Preschool classrooms. The smoke detectors are wired to the Pull Fire Alarm system. The Fire Alarm system was last inspected and tested April 2023.
All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. LPA Clayton and LPA Richmond inspected the classrooms and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards.
