32 | When interviewed, staff stated that both the infant and preschool children are dropped off at the Dearborn location in their separate, assigned classrooms and the older infants and preschoolers are then separated and moved to the Columbus location following an 8:30AM and 8:45AM schedule. During pick up in the evening, a similar schedule is followed as the children return to the Dearborn location at 5:00PM and 5:15PM. During the transition periods, the children are maintained in separate groups supervised by 2 or more teachers, and there is no possibility of commingling between the infants and pre-school aged children. Staff disclosed that children are always supervised and when needed, additional staff is provided.
All four parents interviewed confirmed they have never observed commingling of their children with children from other age groups and have always observed maintenance of ratios. Parents made no disclosures regarding concerns with supervision.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
