25 | Program Licensing Analyst(LPA), Isabel Ortega, conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 12/12/2023. LPA met with Estela Diaz, Director and Lidia Matu, Site Supervisor, who provided a tour of facility, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch. During inspection LPA observed 44 children in care and eight staff providing care and supervision. Facility operates in three classrooms referred to as classroom 1, classroom 2, and classroom 3.
There are no bodies of water, firearms and/or ammunition on the premises. Disinfectants, hazardous items and medications are inaccessible to children. Storage area for poisons are locked and inaccessible to children.
The playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition. Two play yards are free of hazards with adequate cushioning material. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and AC ventilation were evaluated. LPA observed individual storage with children’s for children's belongings. Facility sampled water for lead per PIN-21-21 and results are under the 5.5 ppb which is the maximum allowable, meets the regulation. Each classroom consists of filtered water in a water pitcher container for indoor and outdoor drinking water. Children bring their own water bottles from home; facility also has individual disposable cups available.
