25 | On January 12, 2026 at approximately 9:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Zaragoza conducted unannounced annual continuation inspection visit. LPA at the facility, 12/30/2025 and was unable to complete the visit. Today's date, LPA was greeted and granted access by licensee, Juana Villalta. At the entrance the licensee was explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA's visit included the licensee, 2 staff assistants, and 4 children (2 infants and 2 preschool age). All adults living in the home and staff working with children have criminal record clearance on file.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Licensee lives in a one level home that consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, kitchen, living room, playroom, backyard, separate side pool, and garage. The day care areas are the playroom, bedroom#1, bathroom #1, and the backyard. The off-limit areas are bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bedroom #4, the living room, kitchen, separated side pool, and the garage. All off-limit areas are made inaccessible to children in care with child safety gates and locks.
LPA toured day care areas of home with the licensee. LPA observed home to be clean and neat. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in good condition. LPA did not observe baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, or similar items on the premises. LPA confirmed the facilities telephone on file to be working. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible to children in care with installed outlet covers.
Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and a smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested during visit and were observed to be working. LPA observed trashcans to have tight fitted lids. Cleaning supplies, poisons, and hazardous materials are stored on high shelves, inaccessible to children in care.
The napping area was observed to be equipped with mats, cots, and playpens for napping children. LPA observed each child to have their own individual mat. LPA observed cribs to empty and free of any loose article. LPA observed 15 min sleep logs for infant children. Per license, they provide the sheets and blankets for enrolled children. Per license, sheets and blankets are washed weekly.
