25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tatiana Bickham conducted an unannounced annual required inspection at the above facility on 11/12/2024 at 12:40 PM. Upon arrival, LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and met with Julia Umana License, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Entrance Checklist – Family Childcare Homes LIC 126 was provided to the Licensee to help facilitate the inspection. There were (five) 5 day care children present during today’s inspection. Per Licensee, there are currently (seventeen) 17 children enrolled. Licensee stated the children in enrolled have alternating schedules, LPA informed Licensee she cannot have more than 14 children present at one time. Facility capacity is in compliance for a large Family Childcare Home. Hours of operation are Mon-Sat 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, day-care room, office, 2 detached storage rooms, detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced).
Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: The main part of the home is off limits and consists of, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, detached garage, 2 detached storage room in the backyard, front yard and part of the backyard.
Per Licensee, areas that are accessible to children include: Day-care room, half bathroom, office, and part of the backyard. The day-care room is adjacent to the living room and is separated by two doors. The bathroom that children use is located inside of the day-care room and was observed to be clean and free of hazards.
Food is provided by Licensee. Licensee was reminded if children bring food from home, it must be labeled with the child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated.
