32 | In regard to allegation # 1 - Staff are providing non-English speaking families misinformation from CCL evaluation reports. LPA conducted interviews with complainant, parents and staff.
LPA conducted interviews with staff. Staff corroborated that a copy of the report as well as the LIC 9224 Acknowledgment form was given to all parents- report and citations were explained. Parents were asked to sign the form, but were not asked to sign the paper for school to receive funding. Per staff they did have non-English speaking parents that requested report in Spanish- staff advised that report was not available in Spanish but provided information of the analyst who had conducted the visit.
LPA conducted interviews with parents. Parent’s statements corroborated that they were informed of the visit and were provided a copy of the report, a form to fill out and were not told anything about funding. Parent # 1 stated they were informed about report and citations, but the facility did not provide the information in their primary language. Per parent # 1 they were not told to sign paperwork for funding.
This agency has investigated the complaint alleging staff are providing non-English speaking families misinformation from CCL evaluation reports. Based upon the evidence as presented above, the allegation has been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding of Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegation is unsubstantiated.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative Ruth Kim.
