32 | license. According to the Director, the center is not at full capacity and typically operates under the required staff-to-child ratio. The Director confirmed that during both morning and afternoon care, there is always a qualified staff member supervising the toddler group and another qualified staff member supervising the preschool group. Director did disclose, the toddler children and toddler teacher will sit in the same classroom as the preschool children and preschool teacher, LPA informed the Director the toddlers and preschoolers have to be in separate rooms unless there is a waiver on file stating the toddlers and preschoolers can be in the same classroom together.
Parents interviewed did not express any concerns regarding the allegations mentioned above.
Staff interviewed reported that they maintain a ratio of 1:10 for preschool children and 1:6 for toddlers. They stated that they have not had, nor observed, any staff supervising more than 12 preschool children or more than 6 toddlers at any time without assistance.
During both site visits, LPA did not observe any unqualified staff supervising children. Additionally, LPA did not observe the center operating beyond the terms of its license.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a
preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
