25 | On 07/13/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo met with Licensee, Rosa Rivas, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for the One Year Required inspection.This is a single story family home with a detached room. There is a children's playroom, living room, kitchen, four bedrooms and two restrooms. There is no pool/spa or body of water on the premises. Upon arrival LPA observed 4 preschool children, assistant #1 and the licensee. Family members residing in the home include 2 adults (licensee and adult #1) and no minor children. Facility operation are Monday-Friday 6AM-6PM. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
Physical Plant: Main care is provided in the children's playroom. The children use the bathroom located in the hallway next to the living room. Children have access to the living room and family room. The off limits areas are all the four bedrooms, kitchen, the second bathroom, detached room, and backyard. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, clean and orderly, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (under kitchen sink with safety latch), medicines (upper kitchen cabinet) and hazardous items (sharp knives unreachable behind kitchen sink) that can pose a danger to children. LPA did not observe a fireplace in the home. Safe and age appropriate toys, play equipment and materials were observed. The smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, Fire Extinguisher (2A10BC) are in operable condition. Per Licensee no one smokes in the home. Electrical outlets are inaccessible, no baby bouncers saucer chairs, or any recalled and or prohibited toys or sleep/ play equipment were observed on the premises. There is a designated area for ill children as necessary in family room. Per Licensee there are no weapon/firearms in the home. The facility sketch is complete and current, there is working telephone (cell and landline). |
