Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sabrina Martinez conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to the above facility on 01/09/2023. LPA arrived at the facility and met with Administrator Lana Costache and Director Martina Beltran and was informed of the purpose of the visit.

There were 27 children with 4 staff upon arrival.

During the investigation LPA interviewed staff, interviewed parents, obtained a copy of the children's roster, and obtained copies of supporting documentation.

Information provided by the reporting party indicates that staff treat some day children differently than other day care children.

Per Director, the staff tends to the children as much as possible and children are treated equally.

When interviewing staff, Staff #1, #3, #4, and #5 disclosed that children are treated equally regardless of their age, color, and race. Staff disclosed that facility meets the physical and socio-emotional needs of the children in care.

Parents interviewed made no disclosures regarding children being treated differently.

Children were not interviewed due to their age.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.

Exit interview was conducted with Director Martina Beltran, including, but not limited to Provider Rights, Appeal Procedures and Agencies Consultative Role.
