32 | When interviewed, Staff 3 denied ever touching the child or pulling the child's hair. Staff 3 also denied ever grabbing any child or calling them names. Staff 1 and Staff 2 have never heard or seen any other teacher touch or grab any child, pull their hair, or call them names. Staff 3 explained that most of the children in their classroom are potty trained and when a child requires use of the restroom, they are escorted and supervised, and assisted if needed to take care of their restroom needs. Staff 3 explained that even if there are stains following restroom use, it is dependent on each child, and they are encouraged to continue independent restroom use to continue to build these skills.
When interviewed, none of the six children disclosed that Staff 3 had ever done anything to them that they may have disliked, all children denied ever having their hair pulled, grabbed, or touched, or called any names. All six children also denied ever observing Staff 3 do any of these things to other children.
When interviewed, all four parents explained that they are very happy and satisfied with the care provided by Staff 3. Some of the parents also explained that their current children in care were their second children with Staff 3. They explained that Staff 3 is always encouraging children's independence. Staff 3 allows the children to try and do things to make sure they are learning and developing the needed skills. The parents explained that their children are potty trained, and they have never had any issues or concerns relating to restroom use.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
