32 | The entire property, including all outdoor play areas is fenced and meets regulations. LPA observed a patio area in the rear yard for shade and rest. Licensee has pitchers for available drinking water.
Disinfectants and cleaning solutions were observed to be inaccessible to children in the kitchen. Poisons are locked in the staff bathroom under the sink cabinet.
CPR, Pediatric First Aid and Mandated Reporter Training certificates were observed to be current. The name of the child care center director or fully qualified teacher designated to act in the director’s absence has been reported to the Department. LPA reviewed a sample of staff and children files. Four out of ten children's records reviewed were missing Physician's Report (LIC701) and staff files missing the immunization records.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
