25 | On Friday, October 3, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Cha met with licensee Elvira Garcia. The purpose of the visit was to conduct an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the facility. Upon arrival, LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the licensee. LPA and licensee toured the facility. During the inspection, LPA observed licensee and assistant providing care and supervision to one infant and four preschool-aged children. The current days and hours of operation are Mondays through Fridays; 23 hours/day. LPA informed licensee that when children are awake, licensee must stay awake during all operational hours.
Physical Plant/Indoor/Childcare Area: This is a one-story family home. There is a living room, kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a converted garage (ADU), three sheds in the back/side yard utilized for storage and equipment and an in-ground pool in the backyard. Main care is provided in the ADU referred to as the child care area. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and play equipment, a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. The fire extinguisher was observed, fully green. There is a designated area for the ill children as necessary. The off-limit areas are the entire main home with the three bedrooms (door leading to the main home observed locked), the kitchen, living room, dining room, three bathrooms, the three sheds in the back and side yard utilized for storage and equipment (maintained key locked).
Childcare Bathroom: The childcare bathroom (located across the front childcare door) was observed to be in safe and operating condition. Toilet and faucet are in good operable condition. LPA reminded licensee to keep shampoos, mouthwash, razors, toothpaste, and other hazardous items inaccessible to all children.
