32 | All Staff were current with their Mandated and Reporter Training 7/7/22 and is good for two years. LPA reminded the Licensee as well as anyone who assists in providing care. Licensee was advised to train the backup up in the event she is absent on how to access quarterly reports, forms, and regulations for Child Care online at www.ccld.ca.gov. Licensee was also encouraged to read the Child Care quarterly updates every season as the come out to stay informed of any changes or updates to the regulations.
Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms of any kind in the facility at this time. The LPA did not observe any weapons. he required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) and smoke detectors are in operable condition. The home has a Carbon Monoxide detector. Home does not have central AC but has heat. Licensee has posted as required the, Emergency Disaster plan and Parents Rights Poster, Earthquake Preparedness License. Mandated Reporter: Beginning on January 1, 2018, AB 1207, requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete General and Child Care Mandated Reporter training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years. Volunteers are encouraged but not required to take the training. The OCAP modules are free of cost and available at: http://www.mandatedreporterca.com/
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA shared the following information with the Licensee Sleep Plan and shared LIC 9227 9227, Pin 20-04, LIC 311D Forms/ Records to Keep in Family Home Child Care.
The facility was operating in substantial compliance during this inspection on 07/14/2022. There were no Title 22 Deficiencies cited. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report (LIC 809), Notice of Site Visit, along with appeal rights were given to the Licensee Christina Tinzly- Williams whose signature confirms today's inspection and report.
